I just wanted a kitchen light to turn off and on with a normal switch. This thing is dimmable with firmware that has to be downloaded and paired up with your iPhone. The first one flashed like a strobe light when set at 100%, not acceptable. When l was sent a replacement, it wouldn’t even connect at all so l could set it, so l ended up with a dim yellowish light. I want good lighting in my kitchen so l can see what l’m doing and be able to read, not mood lighting. Whatever happened to normal appliances? These so called “smart” devices aren’t needed nor wanted in my home. More trouble than they’re worth.

The install to the existing ceiling electrical box was easy, but it is a bit of a pain to get it set up with the iPhone and I don’t like the idea that you have to leave the switch on and basically use it with your phone. I was totally unable to set it up with Alexa. It said to do things in the app and that doesn’t exist in the app.

The light was easy to install but isn't connecting with my alexa app. it opens up a link in safari but doesn't actually connect to alexa after clicking on something in alexa. Quite annoyed about this.Also it's only shades of white so on color temperature and no color options but that was as advertised and I just didn't notice so it's fine.
