This camera is way too bulky and oddly shaped. The app is giving me issues and just isn't even worth the time to constantly figure out the issue. The quality was subpar and I wish I was able to return it. I'm not a fan. There's other cameras better than this one so I don't recommend.

I had really high hopes for this camera. Although the video quality is good, the app is sluggish and not intuitive at all. No matter how many settings I tried, the motion detection failed to work properly. Ok. So, I've had a few of these security cameras off of vine. The ones I ultimately ended up using had apps that would allow me to actually set the camera up! I had a lot of problems getting this particular camera to interface with the app. The camera itself is ok. It has a slot for internal storage. The controls are simple. The shape of it is good for a basic, stationary camera. While I prefer the turret camera style, there is also more that can go wrong with that type of camera. I also like the simplicity of the hardware with this particular camera.While I can't recommend it at this point, I will also be trying to set this up on my wi-fi network again, and if I'm able to get it working, I will update my review!

There are a number of things that are not working out too well with this camera. The most important one is that this camera keeps loosing connection while on our network with other wi-fi cameras.It also requires the use of the type of software that's not compatible with existing software. While the idea of a rechargeable security camera is great, especially when used with a solar panel as we intended to use it, network instability is an issue for us.Since other users don't have network dropout problems it's moist likely a router issue, but in our case changing out a router is more of a hassle then trying out another camera that might work with our existing set up.

So, we “adopted” the neighborhood cat and gave him a safe (and heated in the winter) place to sleep in our attached garage. To enable him to enter/exit as he pleases, I added a pet door to the garage. Perhaps fearing an outbreak of midget crime, my wife insisted on a security camera to monitor the door. I did not feel like running ethernet cable for a wired camera so I picked up this Leviewlity battery operated wireless camera.Out of the box, it seemed impressive. Felt solidly constructed, the mounting was robust and easily adjustable, and it came with everything needed to mount. Unfortunately, unpacking the camera was the high point and it has been downhill since.Charged the camera battery fully and downloaded the Prodigytec App to my wife’s Iphone 13 per the included instruction manual. To add the camera, you have to let it see a QR code generated by the app and displayed on your phone. Took me 4 or 5 attempts of timing-out before I finally succeeded in having the camera “see” the QR code and be added to the app.The app itself is something less than intuitive and definitely needs some refinement.Mounted the camera and tested it by moving into and out of its field of vision. I am 6’2” and weigh 320. Sometimes it would see me, sometimes it would not. There was no discernible pattern (light versus dark clothing, speed of motion, area of camera view, ambient light) for why it would detect sometimes and not others. This pattern of working only sometimes has continued for the two full weeks it has been installed. Despite going in an out of the door many times, the cat has never triggered an alert.Along with being unreliable in detecting actual motion, the camera also has a tendency to see things that are not there. The camera regularly sends “alerts” (i.e. motion detection) when there is no one present. It does this regardless of the detection mode (person versus movement) and detection sensitivity (low/medium/high) settings.The cameral also regularly drops offline for no apparent reason. I tested the wifi signal at the camera (only works on 2.4ghz band) and it is plenty strong. 4 bars on my laptop and cell phone.The battery is rated at 9000ma and will (supposedly) last for up to one year on a full charge. My camera is down to 85% charge after two weeks. Assuming a linear rate of reduction (about 1% per day), at most I will get ¼ of a year (90 days) before having to remove it and charge it.I will say that it does have excellent resolution and the video it does take (unfortunately, often of nothing but an empty driveway) are crystal clear.Overall, I am disappointed with this camera. This has to be one of the most frustrating security cameras I have ever used. First of all, the initial connection to the app took me multiple attempts. The camera would speak to let me know the set up was complete but the app still indicated it was trying to trying to connect and eventually timed itself out. When I did finally manage to install the camera to the app and my home wifi that lasted all of about 5 minutes before the connection was lost and I had to delete and reinstall everything again - with the same frustrating issues trying to install the camera on the app. Everything else wifi related in my home is working perfectly normal so I know it isn't my wifi. The battery is fully charged, yet still this camera drops offline and it is still inside the house - I haven't reached the point were I intended to install it outside where a wifi connection may not be as strong.On the very limited times the camera has been working, it tells me to leave my house or I'll call for the police. At that time, trying to connect the app on my phone and view the camera is measured more through a calendar than seconds on a watch. It takes forever, and then , more often than not, drops the connection again.When it is working, the picture is pretty clear and the sound quality is clear. The physical build of the camera is good and the camera looks very well made. The battery life is claimed to be good for about a year but clearly, I haven't had this device for long enough to put that to the test. This camera is recharged through a provided USB A - C cable but it remains to be seen how well this stacks up against negative stupid temperatures that will be here during the Canadian winter.Apparently, this comes with a free subscription to a cloud based storage that retains video for 7 days and is upgradeable at no charge to 30 days. However, when I tried to access the cloud storage section of the app all I opened was a blank page with no options for any changes.

I get more pixelation in QHD than I get in HD. I can make out images better in HD than QHD- app is very limited and only the basic functionality is accessible. Cannot access microSD card directly to format or access file from it.- motion detection is a hit and miss. Walk right up to the camera and it didn't detect to turn on the light and record activity.Overall this camera has potential and with the price of $133.89, it's a bit pricy for what you get with alot of shortfall. You can get a better camera with more features and better image quality at this price point.

This camera's hardware seems sound. The build quality is solid and the camera provides good resolution and functionality. The battery size is really impressive and charging it is easy.However the app and connectivity are major problems. The app seems new and feels like it's still under development. Navigating it is not intuitive and it doesn't seem to allow access to all of the cameras features (e.g., SD card storage, motion sensor lighting). But the major issue is simply WiFi connectivity. Even when just several feet away from my router, it can take many, repeated attempts before getting a successful connection, and connections seem to cut out frequently. So I had to repeat this process over and over before just giving up. Also, the camera attempted a firmware update a couple of times but that also failed.The actual method to connect (the app connects to a WiFi network then displays a QR code which the camera detects and uses to connect) is innovative and cool, but the reliability is really lacking. I wouldn't trust this to reliably monitor my home or property - at least not until the app and connectivity features undergo an overhaul.

Please try it again.’ After several more minutes the camera says, “Connection has been turned off." (something like that – my hearing is not good). Then the blue light goes out. I have to push the little switch on the camera to get it going again.I have tried it many times with the same results.One thing I did notice is:The manual states the red-light flashes slowly when the camera is charging and stays on when the charging is finished. The manual also says a full charge takes about 6 hours. I had it plugged in for 12 hours and the red light never went steady (it flashed the entire time).I will circle back to this camera and try to get it operating. It said the battery was at 100% power, which means the light did not work properly.Operation & Testing:The app is "Prodigytec" with no ratings & 100+ downloads on Android and no ratings on Apple.During the set-up, the camera kept disconnecting and I had to start again a few times. Once connected, I turned on one of the alarms but then it disconnected again so I couldn't shut off the alarm until it finally connected again. Surprisingly, it does have a good connection to the Wi-Fi but not to my iPhone.I then tried it on my Android and after entering my email and password and getting the code, it wouldn't log me in until I "hid" the password. The app disconnects just as much on Android. I was able to record video directly to my phone in live mode when it was connected, but there were no videos on the SD card when I checked. It just says "No data" so there is no way to play back a recording.This camera doesn't work well as a recording device, but it does send notifications when there is motion so could be used as a motion detector.There are 3 options for the alarm mode, something like:1) "Get out of my house or I will call the police!"2) "Please put down my package!"3) "Please don't run on my lawn!"Opinion: I can't recommend this camera at all as it doesn't stay connected long enough to change settings or be in live view, and doesn't seem to record onto the card at all.

What can I say? The listing states 365-day battery, which would be miraculous! But it's not, for me it lasted about 48 hours after a full charge, so that is my primary complaint with this unit.The second issue is the software, the options are very limited compared to other cameras on the market, the screen displays that it's recording in UHD (which would usually mean 4k) but it's clearly not 4k, I know the listing says 2K which is fine (basically HD) but the software should be corrected. See the Black and White night-vision screenshot photo I included in my review photos. The software also kept disconnecting, going offline, and I could not browse the footage on the SD card I placed in it, and could not find an option to reformat the SD card. So as I mentioned, this area of the product needs a LOT of work.The nice features are the light, but I wish I could set a better or custom voice warning. All my other cameras allow me to speak through the camera, I could not find an option to do this.Another nice feature is the mounting, it was easy to place on our siding outside. But then I was very disappointed to find the battery died within two days. So really this camera needs a USB adapter and wire to keep it going. I really like the look of this camera and the footage is fine when it does work, but in the current "alpha" stage of the software I can't recommend it.

I recently installed the 2K Wireless Outdoor Security Camera, and while the image quality is impressive and provides clear footage, I’ve encountered some issues. The motion detection feature is responsive, and the alarm function adds peace of mind. I also appreciate the option for SD or cloud storage. However, I’m frustrated that the camera keep disconnecting from the internet, requiring me to constantly reconnect. Despite their strong features, these connectivity issues are a significant drawback. It could be my internet connection but I cannot say at the moment. Overall, it has potential, but I can't fully recommend them due to the constant disruptions.

This product is a wireless 2K indoor or outdoor security camera that can be connected through WiFi. The camera is considered wireless as it has a large 9000mAh battery built inside & you can attach the power cord to the camera if inside but if used outside it will run off the internal battery. It is IP66 waterproof, has a hooded cover with adjustable mount, motion detection, night vision & an alarm setting. Installation was pretty easy, just need to screw the mount to your desired location & attach the camera then you will need to download the app & create an account for the camera & connect it to WiFi (note: only 2.4GHz WiFi is compatible, not 5GHz). The picture quality was pretty good after testing it out & the security features is decent quality, I saw that since it has a large 9000mAh internal battery that it would not need to be recharged as often but that is only the case if it detects less than 10 detections, so if you live in a busy area or city with constant cars going by, people walking by etc it will use up the battery fast & will need to be recharged frequently. I charged it fully expecting it would last a few months before needing to be recharged since it is wireless but that was not the case, it only lasted less than 24hrs in the busy area I installed so was no good for me. This is a good product for less busy areas since it is wireless or perhaps for indoor use & have the charging cable ready for when it needs to be recharged. I would say for the current listed price it is a good fair value but be sure to check out the details & description of this product.

Unfortunately, between the intermittent internet connection problems and the fact that the battery won’t hold a charge, I haven’t really been able to do much with it. Since we are using it on our front porch, and our router is just inside (with an extender literally on the other side of the wall below the porch window), I’m not sure what the issue is with not staying connected to the internet. Unless it has something to do with the battery draining so quickly from a full charge down to 25-30% within in a couple of days. So far, it hasn’t been worth the time and effort that I’ve had to put into trying to get it to work. Buyer beware..

We installed the camera/light and installed the app on our phones. The only thing I can do is view it live, it holds no event history. It WAS sending me notifications but stopped doing that after a couple of days. Basically, I can look at my porch whenever I feel like it but it serves no real purpose as far as a crime deterrent or for holding the evidence if anything happens.wish it worked as it's supposed to, the picture and sound quality are great.
